1. Booking and Payment
Guiding
To ensure availability and quality, all guiding services must be fully prepaid before the start, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Fly Tying
Courses and services related to fly tying are paid upon completion of the activity, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
Group Arrangements
Larger events and tailor-made experiences are normally invoiced after completion. For more extensive assignments, prepayment may be required. This will be agreed upon in advance. Failure to pay may result in the service not being carried out.
2. Cancellation and Rescheduling
We understand that plans can change, and we always aim to offer flexible solutions within reasonable limits.
- Cancellation more than 7 days before the agreed date: Full refund
- Cancellation less than 7 days before the start: No refund
- In case of documented illness, rescheduling may be considered
If Top Rod must cancel due to weather conditions or other unforeseen events, rescheduling or a full refund will be offered.
3. Responsibility and Safety
By booking guiding services, the customer acknowledges that Top Rod only provides recommendations and suggestions regarding fishing locations and methods. It is at all times the individual participant's own choice and full responsibility where they travel, fish, move on land, or stay in or near watercourses.
3.2 All movement and activity in connection with guiding take place at the customer's own risk. Fishing in rivers and waterways involves inherent risks, including—but not limited to—slippery surfaces, strong currents, varying water levels, and changing weather conditions.
3.3 Top Rod cannot be held liable for personal injury, loss, damage to equipment, or financial loss arising in connection with guiding, unless such damage is caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct by Top Rod.
3.4 This limitation of liability applies to all participants included in a booking, whether the customer acts as a private individual or represents a group.
3.5 The limitation of liability applies to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
3.6 Each participant is responsible for using necessary and appropriate safety equipment when conditions require it, including—but not limited to—life jackets, wading belts, wading staffs, or other relevant safety gear.
3.7 The customer is responsible for holding valid fishing licenses, necessary permits, and insurance.
4. Force Majeure
We cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control, including extreme weather conditions, flooding, government orders, transport disruptions, or other unforeseen events. In such situations, we will always seek a professional and solution-oriented approach through rescheduling or a refund of 80% of the total amount.
5. Privacy
Top Rod processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws (GDPR). Information is used solely for the administration of bookings and the delivery of services and will not be shared with third parties without consent. You may request access to or deletion of your data at any time.
6. Insurance
We recommend that all guests have valid travel insurance and/or accident insurance that covers activities in natural environments and waterways.
